This trip is actually 3 trips in 1 and focuses on the heart of the Habsburg Empire. Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia. Three countries were born in the 20th century, but that mark the most characteristic features of Central European culture since the Middle Ages. We visit selectively and very carefully the jewelry cities and explore them in depth. We see the magnificent capitals of Vienna and Prague. We host palaces, music, theaters, Gothic, Baroque and Romanesque buildings. Beauty, culture, taste and grace. We go to the fairy tale Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia and we are lost in its unparalleled beauty architecture. But we go to the most famous spa towns of Imperial Europe: Baden and Karlovy Vary. Where the term “holiday luxury” was born, when luxury related exclusively to the crowned and the deep aristocracy.But if something has to offer today to mankind all that, it is art. And Austria, besides opera, waltz and chocolate, has to give great painting. Egon Schiele, the greatest Austrian painter of the 19th and 20th centuries. He is identified with the famous Vienna School, to which Gustav Klimt belongs. But we on this journey, we choose to pay tribute to Scheele, and we visit the gorgeous Český Krumlov, the birthplace of his mother, to which he went and painted his masterpieces for the last 10 years of his life. This journey of Versus Travel has many more stories to tell… Stories of wars, questions, incest, intrigue, greatness, alchemy… Most of them are hidden in palaces, in castles, in forests, in hidden bridges, in built bells, in clock pointers… We will discover them all! And then, the meaning of what we know as Central Europe will look completely different to us.!
The trip in a few lines
Trip to central Europe in two beautiful capitals, really ornaments. We start from Prague, a city of “fairy tale”. Walking through the city center is like being in another era. We pass through baroque architecture buildings, squares with wonderful cathedrals, the famous clock of the old town hall and we end up in the old castle.We will also visit the unparalleled beauty towns of Cecki Krumlov is a Unesco World Heritage site and Karlovy Vary, a dream city built within a lush green ravine, surrounded by rivers that cross it, famous for its spa and hot springs.
Next destination is the aristocratic Vienna with fairytale palaces, streets with wonderful architectural buildings, squares, parks, classic cafes. Close to us the Viennese forests where we will visit and of course Bratislava the beautiful capital of Slovakia, with the Old City that is like a labyrinth of medieval alleys, but also large, aristocratic cobblestones.
